School Meals
Stockton Local Authority provide the catering at Prior’s Mill School and the meals are excellent! The cost of a school meal is £2.05 per day, £10.25 for a full week and it is appreciated if the correct money is sent at the beginning of each week. If your child misses a school lunch that has been paid for due to absence, a credit will be added against any future meal costs.
We operate a coloured sticker/wristband system in school whereby children having school meals choose their meal at morning registration and are given a sticker/wristband to wear that corresponds with the daily menu.
Payments
Responsibility for the collection of school dinner money rests with the Catering Service at Stockton Borough Council. School dinner money can be paid in advance per term. Payment by cheque is acceptable, please make cheques payable to Stockton Borough Council. Alternatively, if you wish to make a credit card payment this can be done over the telephone to the Catering Office at the Council on 01642 527271 or 528356.
Any queries regarding payment of school meals or any general school meal queries should please be directed to Stockton Borough Council Catering Service on 01642 528752.

Stockton-on-Tees Citizen Portal
It is important that you register for free school meals even if you choose to provide a lunch for your child yourself as the academy receives extra funding based on the percentage of free school meals in school.
Universal Free School Meals
Under the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme, all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 can have a free school meal each day.
Meal Choice Changes
Please contact either Miss Green or Mrs Twomey in the school office if you wish your child to change their lunchtime arrangements or for any other assistance. We ask that you provide us with one week’s notice if your child would like to go on school dinners and half a term’s notice to change to packed lunches. Thank you.
Packed Lunches
As our school promotes healthy eating, please may we remind parents/carers of those children who choose to bring a packed lunch that fizzy drinks, glass bottles, chocolate bars and sweets should not be brought to school.
Please note:
NUTS and NUT BASED PRODUCTS (e.g. Nutella spread) must not be brought to school as we have several children who suffer with severe allergies.
Hot foods such as soups or pastas must not be provided as part of packed lunch meals.
